Our spring 2015 philanthropy event kicked off at 10:00 am on April 17th, 2015, when Cornell PIKE brothers started running laps around the Cornell University Arts Quad to benefit the Central New York Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  The event lasted a full 24 hours, officially coming to an end at 10:00 am on April 18th.  Together with Syracuse PIKE, we were about to raise around $8,000. We want to give a special thanks to Syracuse PIKE, Rob Faugno, the very same man who ran 54 miles from Syracuse to Cornell in 2014.  We thank him coming up with the idea for this year’s and last year’s event, and also for coming to Cornell to run laps and sit at our booth with Cornell PIKE brothers.  Finally, we would like to extend a thank you to Buddy Valastro, The Cake Boss, for making a very special cake for the event!

Run Rob Run – Make a Wish Foundation

Run Rob Run

We teamed up with Kappa Delta and the Syracuse PIKE chapter to raise more than $30,000 dollars for the make a wish foundation!

On April 11th, 2014, Syracuse brother Rob Faugno ran 54 miles from his chapter house to Cornell University to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. In honor of his sister’s birthday, Faugno ran to spread awareness of terminal illnesses and the importance of Make-A-Wish in helping childhood dreams come true. Brothers from both the Syracuse and Cornell PIKE Chapters came together for such a great cause, raising over $30,000. The PIKES also held a joint 5k the following day with the sisters of Kappa Delta at Cornell.
